Culinary uses

Thanks to this pepper you will discover the flavours of Mexico. And how to make the most of it? Thanks to its low spiciness, there are several possibilities. It works in both savoury and sweet dishes. It goes well with fruit but also with duck, lamb, seafood, mushrooms, honey, or fennel.

If you love Mexican cuisine, then use this mild chilli pepper for the preparation of burritos, quesadillas, or enchiladas.

Dark and delicate at the same time

The peppers have a sweet, smoky flavour and an earthy aroma. Among other chillies, it is one of the less hot ones. If you need a comparison, a Jalapeño has an average of 5000 SHU, which is once as much as a Pasilla.

But this number is very approximate. Just as the Jalapeño can be much higher, there are some really hot Pasillas out there!

However, the combination of all these characteristics makes these chillies a delicate affair.
